    Robert Adam was a Scottish architect and designer. He was born on 3rd July, 1728 at Kirkcaldy in Scotland. Robert was the son of famous architect William Adam. Robert travelled in Europe during 1758-1759 for studying architectural engineering and roman ruins. While coming back to London, Robert Adam accompanied by his brother James Adam started a decorative style of architecture named 'Adam Style' featured by subtle lightness and freedom by using classical elements of architecture. This style was primarily used as contrasting room shaper as well as delicate classy ornamental architecture. His famous contributions include Osterley part in Middlesex, Kedleston hall in Derbyshire, Adelphi development in London, university of Edinburgh. Robert Adam was also recognized as a leading furniture designer and his ethno-modern style was popularized by George Hepplewhite who himself was a designer. Robert Adam took his last breath on 3rd March, 1792 in London.
