My Hot Water Heater Makes A Whining Sound When It Is Filling And Heating-the Water In It I Have Plenty Of Hot Water ,it Just Started To Make This Noise Replaced Stats 3yrs Ago? Could It Be Build Up In The Tank, I Drained It Three To Four Yrs Ago

    You should flush your water heater anually. More often if you have sediment issues. Perculating noise in a water heater while its heating usually indicates hard water. Whining may indicate a narrowing of the pipes from build up and now the water has to squeeze through a smaller opening causing its velosity to speed up as it is forced through the restriction. Whats stats?
