Why Does My Dog Have Diarrhea And Irregular Heartbeat?
My dog is 1 1/2 yrs old and is a husky/German Shepard mix. He has had diarrhea for 24 hours now and I noticed that his heartbeat is irregular. Otherwise he seems completely normal. He hasn't had anything different in his diet that I am aware of. Are the two symptoms related? Is it normal for dogs to have irregular heartbeat? And is this something I should be worried about?
Diarrhea and irregular heartbeat are the symptoms shown by the dogs when they eat something toxic or unsuitable for them. Examples of unsuitable foods are beer, wine, chocolate, coffee, tea, or some types of mushroom. The main reason behind irregular heartbeat is caffeine. Daffodils are the garden plants that can also cause the same problems if the dog eats them up. You just try to watch him closely and strictly restrict him to his normal diet. He will recover soon.
