Is It Safe To Travel To Cancun?

The only safe places to travel in mexico are the cities close to the U.S. Border. If you go too far south you run into the corrupt cities that are overrun by gangs and war and you do NOT want to be there.

Yes, it is safe to Travel to Cancun, previously they were advising against connecting flights in Mexico City, but with direct flights.. No problem.

I actually live in Cancun, there aren't thousands of people dying in the streets here as the Media would have you believe, and there are NO Drugs Wars being fought in the streets either (most of that is actually in the states of Mexico that Border the USA).

If you want to take some extra precautions, then wear a mask on the plane (this is where most people think they have been passed the Flu). Bring some Alcohol hand gel with you and use this after each time you handle money and such like.

You probably have more chance of catching the Seasonal Flu than catching swine flu in Cancun... And Seasonal Flu killed as many as 35,000 people in the USA alone last year !! Swine Flu = 65 worldwide !!

Sat on a Caribbean Beach with a Cocktail in your hand has to be better than staying at home scared to visit Cancun !!!
