In Ca. We Were Late On Our Rent A Few Months But Got Caught Up And Everything Was Back To Normal. However We Received A 60 Day Notice To Leave Without Any Reason. Is That Legal To Do?

We've lived here over 5 years. When we were having a hard time paying the rent we were always in contact with our landlord. The only verbal reason our landlord gave us to vacate the property was that he wanted to fix it up and re -rent it for more money. I am wanting to leave at this point, but hate feeling like I am being bullied.

You can't look at it as being bullied. Thats playing with your emotions. Remember that the house belongs to your landlord. He should feel bullied if you were to say i am not leaving.
Besides if it was due to you being late on your rent, he could of present it to the courts and had you evicted.
Look at it on the lighter side- 60 days is better then 30. Which he could have done too.
If your looking for a loop hole check  your lease agreement.
