    Becoming a bank manager requires an amalgamation of skills including, good financial understanding good people management skills, and an ability to bring sales as well. The basic or main function of the manager however will be to come up with new solutions and business development and managing the staff of the bank. It is also very important to bring sales to the organization and maintain the current customers as well. The managers have to work long hours because in the end he has the sole responsibility of the branch and is answerable to the headquarters. As the industry is heavily regulated, the managers have to learn to play by the rules of the industry to avoid penalties.
