Does Anyone Know The Recipe For The Butter Chess Pie Sold In Texas By Furr's Cafeteria?

This is a very different taste in a Chess Pie. I am a very good cook, but I cannot pick up on the creaminess this pie has.

    Sorry to say maam. But those recipes are not yet public. The cafeteria does not let anyone see their recipe.

      If they do not give their recipes why is there Million Dollar pie recipe on several websites?

      Okay I think this is the best recipe that is just like the one that furr's uses and is very creamy My ex-husband used to eat at furr's and while we were married I made this alot for him and he said that it tasted just like the one at furr's
      BUTTER CHESS PIE

      1/2 cup butter or margarine
      2 cups sugar
      1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
      1 tablespoon yellow cornmeal
      5 eggs -- well beaten
      1 cup milk
      1 teaspoon vanilla
      2 tablespoons lemon juice (optional)
      1 unbaked pastry shell

      Cream butter and sugar; beat in flour and cornmeal.
      Add eggs, milk, vanilla and lemon juice.
      Beat well.
      Pour into pastry shell.

      Bake at 350° F. For 55 to 60 minutes, or until knife comes out clean.
