Does Anyone Know The Recipe For The Butter Chess Pie Sold In Texas By Furr's Cafeteria???
This is a very different taste in a Chess Pie. I am a very good cook, but I cannot pick up on the creaminess this pie has.

Okay I think this is the best recipe that is just like the one that furr's uses and is very creamy My ex-husband used to eat at furr's and while we were married I made this alot for him and he said that it tasted just like the one at furr's
BUTTER CHESS PIE
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon yellow cornmeal
5 eggs -- well beaten
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons lemon juice (optional)
1 unbaked pastry shell
Cream butter and sugar; beat in flour and cornmeal.
Add eggs, milk, vanilla and lemon juice.
Beat well.
Pour into pastry shell.
Bake at 350° F. For 55 to 60 minutes, or until knife comes out clean.
