What Age Is Good To Wean A Puppy?

Answer Question

You can start at 3 weeks...giving goats milk (I give the powedered kind because it's all we can find here).  Then, monitor how they are doing with this and if making progress, add soft foods (I would suggest Whelping Pudding).  As they get older, you can introduce them to canned puppy food and also moistened dry food.  A good time-frame for them to not be nursing any longer would be around 5-6 weeks old.  However, each puppy (and momma)  will have their own specific needs so please keep this in mind, too.

    Good luck!
