What Are The Long Term Effects? And Could She Become Dependent?

My daughter has been on concerta for 2 yrs. Because of the ingredients and possible dependency and both sides of the family has alcohol abuse. I'm concerned she will become dependent.

    Longterm effects of any medicine means complications due to side effects after prolong use of medicine. Concerta contains methylphenidate and is used to treat ADHD. One of the longterm effects of concerta is drug dependence. Other effects are insomnia, facial tics and psychosis. The concerta should not be used in patient having history of alcohol use.
