What Is The Meaning Of Palestine Or Where The Word Came From?

    The name Palestine is a derivation of the word ‘Plesheth’ that is often repeated in the bible, its modern day equivalent in English is ‘philistine’. It meaning was rolling or migratory because it is conquered various times from the sea. The invaders came in three phases and the region was considered to have three distinct parts. The term ‘Palestine’ was used by the crusaders to refer to all the three parts combined.
