Why Did King Henry VIII Change England From A Roman Catholic Country To A Protestant One?

He wanted to marry another woman when he was already validly married, so he created his own church.  He was also a megalomaniac and wanted to consolidate all power in himself.

I believe it was because he needed money to form the Royal Navy and too much of it was being sent to the Vatican, plus there was to much influence being exerted by the church on his running of the country.

From my understanding it was because the Catholic Church got tired of giving him annulments. What that does it allows him to get a divorce  and not be ex communicated  from the church. So he started the first Protestant religion in the world and l think it was  The Church of England.
