How Many Feet Are In 8.8 Cubic Foot?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

8.8 cubic feet is a measure of volume.

Feet are a measure of length.  Normally these would not be a valid conversion, unless we're trying to find the volume of a 3 dimensional shape.  If we assume it's a cube, then the cube root of 8.8 would be the distance of each side.

    (8.8)1/3= 2.06 feet

We can check to make sure this is true.  If a cube is 2.06 feet on each side, the volume would be 2.06 x 2.06 x 2.06  which equals 8.74 cubic feet.  That's a little off, but close enough for most purposes.  A few more digits help us be more accurate here, but normally in mathematical calculations you don't add in more digits of accuracy.

If we use 2.06456 feet for each side, then the volume would be very close to 8.8 cubic feet.
