How Do You Get Candle Wax Off Of A Carpet?

Had my candle on top of tv and my kids were jumping around and it's spilled! I have no scrubber or anything fancy, is there a way to get it off?? This just happened a few minutes ago and it's a lot on there so it's very noticeable!!

If it was a glass mirror, you can get it off by scraping, but try using toxic chemical sprays like the spray for erasing (manicure) "not sure of spelling"

Take a super markets brown paper bag ripped in half and RUN a HOT clothing IRON over the brown paper bag on top of the wax on the rug. You will have to let the bag get warm so the WAX soaks into it, you will have to do this a few times moving and discarding the brown bag as it soaks up the wax. Keep it up until its all gone, REALLY IT WORKS GREAT. HAVE FUN. DO NOT walk away from the paper while the Iron is on it and plugged in, be careful. LISA.

Yes. Does not matter how old it is it will work. Just keep moving the paper bag to a unused portion until the wax is gone. Works on everything material, clothes, carpet, furniture, etc... Just remember its hot, be careful. Lisa

I would try placing a old cloth over the wax and use your iron to melt the wax to the old cloth.  It might take several attempts but it should work.

Take a brown grocery bag and place over the candle wax and iron the brown bag moving it around as the heat lifts the wax onto the bag.  Repeat this process until the wax is gone.  This method works wherever you spill candle wax as long as the iron can accommodate the spilled area.  It's a charm!!
