If A Computer Gets Slow ,what Is The Reason Behind It?

There can be many reasons and I am quoting few of them:

• You have uploaded software that are very heavy
• You do not delete your history or cookies when you use the internet
• There is a virus
• You are using a program which requires more memory
• You are using many programs at the same time
• A program requires more RAM

You can do following things to make your computer work faster

• Clean temporary files, cookies and history regularly.
• Remove all extra auto-start entries.
• Keep the computer safe from viruses with the help of anti virus software
• Minimize the usage of RAM.
• Keep at least 35 percent of C drive free
• Keep recycle bin Empty
• Don't safe lots of files on the desktop.
• Have a blank wallpaper.

All the reasons given so far do contribute but, in my experience, the biggest culprits are viruses, worms, trojans, rootkits, dialers, spyware, and malware. If you have been on the internet you might just have one or more of these infections.

Another slow down reason is:  You have mapped network drives that can not be accessed. This happens a lot when you travel with a laptop. Network drives mapped at the office are not available on the road. The operating will continuously try to connect to those drives thus slowing things down. If you have unavailable mapped drives disconnect them when on the road.
