The Atlantic Ocean is the second-largest ocean among the oceans of the world, which covers approximately one-fifth of the Earth's surface. The name Atlantic is, derived from Greek mythology, meaning the "Sea of Atlas." The temperature of the Atlantic Ocean and the land areas near to it is affected by the temperatures of the water surface and the water currents which is also responsible for the winds blowing across the waters. Due to the ocean's great tendency for maintain heat, and the climates bordering the ocean are moderate and free of extreme seasonal variations. The currents produced by the Ocean helps in the climatic control by carrying warm and cold waters to other regions.

The Pacific Ocean is the word taken from the Latin name Mare Pacificum, which means "peaceful sea". The Pacific Ocean is the largest part of water on Earth. It is 169.2 million square kilometers in area, this ocean covers up to 52% of the Earth's total surface and comparatively is it larger than all of the Earth's land area put together. Water temperatures in the Pacific changes, freezing around the pole areas, and to about 25-30 °Celsius near the equator. The North Equatorial Current, which is taken  westward along latitude 15°N by the trade winds, turns north near the Philippines.

Not what she was asking for! Nor what I was looking for... You touched briefly on the temp. of the Pacific, but didn't even mention that of the Atlantic. Does no one have ocean temperatures??

That doesn't answer her question. Nor does it mine... You briefly touched on the Pacific Ocean, but offered no real average and didn't even come close to covering that of the Atlantic. Will someone else try again?
