There are several disadvantages of a television. They are as follows,
Direct effect on eyes.
- Children become potato couches, lazy and do not do anything
- Not good for digestion since you tend to eat in front of the television, one does not pay attention to the food.
- It does not bind the family together, in early days dinner time was the time when the family bonded with each other, everyone sat at the dining table laughed, cracked jokes, told their problems, interaction between family members is hampered due to television
- It keeps children away from studies, it is addictive and children tend to neglect studies
- Children often watch adult programmes which is not good for them, it has a bad effect on them
- Television airs movies, serials all the time which teach children all the wrong things in life.
Direct effect on eyes.
- The eyes gets terribly strained and hurt
- The pupils get dilated with constant TV watching
- The colours on the screen are sometimes too harsh for the eyes and leads to distortion of images
- Eyes water all the time with too much TV watching
