Calories should rarely ever fall below 1200 for women and 1800 for men and even then those are rough guidelines many people require more just for basal metabolic rate (rate at which we burn calories when we don't do anything else, just basic body functions). Amount of fat depends on what you want to lose (I am assuming you want to lose because you are eating or plan on eating 1000 calories a day), your sex, age, activity level and if you have any health problems such as high cholesterol. A general guideline for losing weight is 25% of your calories from fat. So if you eat 1200 calories a day, 300 of those are from fat. There are 9 calories in 1 gram of fat, so you would eat around 34 grams of fat a day max to be at 25%. Good luck!
