Can Plants Grow Without Water?

5 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

There are various types of plants and they all have different water requirements. A plant may survive with a little amount of water like the plants which are found in deserts, however, a plant cannot survive or grow without water. Plants are living and they require water to survive and grow. Without water a plant will wilt and it will lose its turgor pressure and may not grow further. Moreover, plants make food through water and they use that food in cold season. If plant is not given water then because of deficiency of food it can die.

Only for a little while. Then it dies because of no water. Water is just like food to the plant. Can you live without food? I thought so:)
