What Is A Ghost-writer?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A ghost writer is someone who writes by someone else's name. They are also people whose work gets credited to someone else. The most common section of people who use ghostwriters is celebrities especially while writing their autobiographies or biographical essays.

Ghostwriters are also used by politicians to write and reply to letters and correspondents. The figure that the ghostwriter is working for generally approves of all the material written before it is published or made public. However, this does not necessarily imply that the celebrity didn't contribute to the literary work at all.

These people are also employed to read over already written work to check for errors or to edit the work wherever necessary. Truman Capote often mentioned that he was a ghostwriter for the book 'To Kill a Mockingbird.'
