How Can I Do A Simple Fix Or Repair Of A Speaker/ Woofer On An Electric Bass Or Keyboard Amplifier?

    What is wrong with your speaker or woofer? Broken? Disconnected? Loose chords? You have to specify what was wrong with them; then you might get a good answer.

    Hi sellshouse- you are right. I did not specify what type of problem needed repairing, sorry about that!

    A tear/ crack has formed on it- starting from the outside diameter (where the screws are part of the speaker, and is about 2 inches long (in a curving line), and looks to be headed towards the center.

    A friend of mine this afternoon suggested that I disengage the speaker from the amp, and delicatley spead a clear Silicone 'glue/ sealant' onto both sides of the crack .

    The silicon will 'stretch like rubber and retain bond while speaker pulsates' - we'll see...
