What Season Does A Horse Need A Blanket?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Never, unless you do occasional outings on top of a windy mountain where the temperature is very low.  If you blanket them too much they won't grow their winter coat which is their Natural blanket.  I've only blanketed mine once in 5 years when it was Bitter cold and the wind was blowing so hard it froze their water buckets every hour.
