Ornament basically is an accessory, article, or detail used to beautify the appearance of something to which it is added. They are some what like jewellery.
Jewellery generally can be any portion of fine material applied to decorate the human body. The term jewellery comes from the term jewel, which was anglicized from the ancient French "joule". Initially jewellery was made for more realistic uses, like wealth storage and for pinning clothes together, where as in today's world it is mainly used for decoration.
The initial portions of jewellery were created from natural material like, bone, animal teeth, shell, wood, carved stone, etc. Jewellery in the earlier times was made for people of high significance to portray their status and in many instances they were buried with it.
