The British Museum is located in London. It is the world's largest and most significant museums in human history and culture. Its collection includes over seven million objects from across the globe, all depicts and credentials of the human culture right from the early age to the modern age.
This museum was established in the year 1753 and was entirely filled with the collections of the physician and scientist Sir Hans Sloane. This museum was first viewed by the public on 15th January, 1759 at Montagu House in Bloomsbury. Later in 1997, it opened a British Library, and this made the place more unique since it comprised of both a museum as well as a library. The present chairman to this museum is Sir John Boyd and its director is Neil MacGregor.
