Why Do I Miss My Pet Dog Who Got Put Down ?

I am sorry to hear this, it takes a long time to get over the loss of a 'family member' so to speak. I have lost cats in the past and still to this day cry when I think about them. There isn't anything that can bring them back, but you can remember, and think about the good times, sometimes that is the only way to start the healing. You could also get another pet, it doesn't have to be a dog, and this might help to fill some of the void that you are feeling. I hope this helps, good luck to you.

I am a cat lover and through the years have had several, and of course they have died.  Pets become a part of your amily and really seem like a person to the family.  You will grieve this loss because you loved your dog, so do not be ashamed to cry or be sad.  But do not take this wrong, but if you are able to get a new dog, I would say to do so.  It does help fill the void.  God bless.

It is normal, pets become a part of the family and when they go it gets us right in the heart.

Because you probaly considered your dog as a family member,
even though it was for its own good. I never get over my lost pets, but you may find that eventually the dog you miss is now in another form as another of your pets.
