Most of the snails are hermaphrodites, means they have the power or system to produce eggs themselves only apple snail are found as male and female. By saying apple snail I seriously do not mean the snail that eats apple, well every snails does so it is a specific name of a snail. They produce their eggs after mating among them you never know how many eggs they will produce as they are able to produce more then 100 eggs at one time and it happens once in a month.

When the time of laying eggs is near snails digs sand or garden, if they are garden snails. Then they lay their eggs and they also look that the place is warm and wet both so it will help the egg to hatch within weeks the egg is hatched and the lithe one is out. It is very weak when it is born, the source of keeping their shell strong they need lots of calcium, so baby snails starts this from their own shell as they are totally transparent in color when they are born they eat their egg even their siblings eggs if they are not hatched. Later when they are strong enough after some days then they slip out from the hole left by the parent snail.
