    Creepy was a comic magazine that indulged only in horror comics. The magazine was first launched by Warren Publishing in the year 1964. The 'Creepy' magazine was a printed in black and white. It was a news stand publication which had the format of a magazine. This format made the company to publish it without the approval or the seal of the Comics Code Authority (CCA).

    The founding editor of Creepy magazine called Russ Jones made a statement in the same year stating that all the stories were done with negotiations with Warren. This statement was done in the memoir of 'Creepy and Eerie'.

    In the year 1965 Archie Goodwin joined Warren as one of the editors of Creepy magazine. The team was joined by Joe Orlando who was behind the scenes story editor.
