What Are The Parameters And When To Suspend An Employee??
A friend of mine was suspended from her work for she failed to report on her duty schedule for some valid reason but he problem was she failed to inform our supervisor due to inevitable circumstance. The following day, she was asked to write an explanation letter and was given a chance to explain her side personally to our supervisor. Now, was the decision made to suspend her appropriate? Considering that it was her first time to do it, in fact, unintentionally? Was it fair to suspend her right away without giving her a warning?
Answers
Actually there are no definite parameters for getting an employee suspended. It varies from organization to organization. Thus, though the incident was unfair, it might have been appropriate according to the office rules. I would suggest you to get a hand on the policies of your organization. Then you can help your friend in forming her case.
