Answer Question

The book Brimstone has been written by Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child. It was published by Warner Books and it is available in paperback. The book consists of six hundred and forty pages. It first appeared in May 2005.

After the astonishing success of the book The Cabinet of Curiosities, the writers Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child have established a well-earned reputation for creating clever and fictitious mysteries, and so is the case with the book Brimstone. Starting with the title, the whole story plays with the idea that the Devil is real and existent. And naturally there's a duly visionary and horror-filled atmosphere that's as frightening as it is successful. That does not mean that this is a horror book. Quite on the contrary and opposite, the literary, artistic and cultural depths which this story fathoms, the authentic and genuine historical details that it incorporates, all suggest many other probable explanations. And the result of all this is a plot which is  multi-directional and a mystery that's tremendously complex and a story which is a curious mix of academic and thrilling murder investigation.
The Characters affectively are brought to life in this novel. Whether it be the rich Holmesian Pendergast or the common-man Watson, D'Agosta, all are equally effective.
