Can Anyone Tell Me About The Rights Of The Tenants?

Answer Question

4 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Somebody who pays rental fee to use territory or a house or an automobile that is owned by some other body can be referred as a tenant. Tenant's rights are the privileges given to the tenants by the law. These rights are necessary for the tenants so that to avoid any sort of neglectfulness by the owner. They actually are used as the protectors of the tenants; in fact these rights bound the owner and the tenant as well to deal fairly and reasonably.

The laws that are used to deal with the association between the landlord and the tenant relationship differ significantly between the legal powers. These laws are used to facilitate the tenants and the owner in so many different ways very efficiently. As our concerned issue is the rights of tenants so let us discuss about the tenants rights. According to the laws, the building or any other thing that a tenant is going to take on rent must be amended, if it is in bad condition.

They must be protected from the revenge of the owner in case of any mishaps. They must be provided the protection from excessive increase of rental fee. The privacy of tenants must also be considered and never be overlooked

I was evicted after 9 years by a new owner on 011906 then again on 011607 by diff owner.  Both slumlords who resented my filing complaint with the Att. Gen. Since they  refused to make major repairs.  Had more than enough effidence & witnesses when I went to court both times.  Same judge on both & paid no mind to my documentation nor witnesses.  He ruled against me the 1st time due to my failure to submit my documentation properly.  He even admitted I had a solid case, just no court etticate.  2nd eviction, again he admitted I had a solid case but I failed to prove I sent the owner a proper 5 day notice.  With the 2nd owner, for 9 months I had nothing but problems trying to get him to fix things.  The last problem prior to being evicted, my heater didn't work.  The owner claimed to have fixed it.  Meanwhile the City inspector came out to investigate a gas leak and found the owner to be out of compliance for several major things.  One being the owner had put a lock on my heater instead of fixing it.  This was a major concern of the inspector since my heater was gas.  He feared gas building up which could cause an explosion.  The inspector called the owner from my home to inform him of the serious violation and the citation would require it be fixed asap.  I asked the owner why he lied when he claimed to have fixed the heater and since he lives in Utah and I live in Arizona, his response was
