Do U Think Animal Testing Should Not Be Banned And Only Rats And Mice Should Be Tested?

It is sad that any living thing has to be used, but it is done so they can find ways to treat diseases that crop up continually.  I don't think one breathing animal is worthy of being placed over others. It depends upon what the scientist are searching for. They choose by cells, blood type, likeness etc. So mice would not show the results they need to discover.

Rats and mice in the lab should be held to no different standard of care than any other non-primate mammal.  

As mammals, rats and mice feel pain exactly as much as any person, cat, or dog would.  In fact, rodents are even more closely related to humans than cats and dogs are.  Rodents are also very intelligent, and have an amazing ability to learn.

The rats in mice in labs are NOT pests as you describe.  They are captive bred, extremely docile, and fully domesticated animals that pose no threat to health or property in any way.  The idea that a harmless lab rat should be treated with lower standards of welfare because it is genetically related to a wild animal that is sometimes a pest is nothing more than idiotic "animal racism", or "species-ism" as some call it.

I am against any and all animal testing...I feel we should test on the hindrances of society sitting on death row.  They should contribute something to those taxpayers feeding them & housing them daily; right?

Animal testing should be banned, except for mice and rats. We have gotten a lot of useful information to help human in medical science. No, I don't like to see any animal treated cruel. My sister in law works at Abbot Labs and these animals are treated well.

No I think it should be banned for all animals, because rats and mice are animals just like bears and monkeys and cats and dogs. It should be illegal to have animal testing anywhere!. One day if i ever come president or priminister i would try my best to make animal cruelty banned full stop.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not all animals should be tested or you would not know if it had rabies or not.
