Personally I like the Dyson Animal because it is just one switch to go from carpet to hard floors. It has a cylinder for what is picked up so no bags are needed - just pull the lever and let it fall in your trash.
I also like the Animal because it goes right up against wood trim where lots of the pet dander and hair likes to sneak to hide! :)
