The size of a DL envelope is 220 mm wide and 110 mm high. It is meant to hold an A$ size sheet. DL size envelope is best suited for an A4 size sheet which has been folded two times. When you fold an A4 size sheet twice, you create 3 almost equal sections in the paper. If you are folding you document only and creating 2 equal parts in the A4 size page, your document will not fit into a DL size envelope.
