Does A Torque Wrench Have Any Thing To Do With The Tightness Of A Nut Or Bolt?

Answer Question

Not exactly, its more like the amount of Torque used to tighten a nut or bolt... So if you are to tighten to 6lbs of torque, you apply up to 6lbs of torque as you tighten the nut of bolt but do not go past that or it be out of the recommended range of torque which could result in failure.

The torque wrench is used to tighten nuts/bolts mechanical fasteners to the specifications of the manufacturer. Usually used in the auto industry or should i say on machinery. Most garages have a auto air impact gun/rachet wrench set for the torque they need so they don't use a regular manual torque wrench.
