MTV K is a channel that is purely dedicated to the Korean Americans. This channel showcases the very best of Korean Culture and thus providing a platform for the Korean American Talent; this exclusive channel was launched on Direct TV on the 27th of June in the year 2006. MTV K is the newest channel that has been launched under the banner of MTV world. Other channels launched before were MTV Desi (only for south Asian Americans) and the MTV CHI (only for Chinese people). MTV K was well known for displaying new and fresh Korean music videos. The channel also used to host shows with specially created packages for the viewers. They also used to air various news and events.
