How Can I Buy Copies Of Birth Certificates?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

If you wish to get copies of your original birth certificate, there are two ways to do it, either you can get it by post or you can personally visit the local register office where the birth took place or the birth was first registered. You can also obtain copies from the Family Records Centre, in London the address is: 1 Myddelton Street, London EC1R 1UW. If you are sending a post to the General Register office, you should also enclose you debit or credit card details as a fee is charged for each copy of the birth certificate that you request. Address of the Register office is PO Box 2 South park Merseyside PR8 2JD or you can also call them on 0845 603 7788.

You can also fill out an application form online on the official website of the register office www.gro.gov.uk. This link will take you to a page which consists of the fees that you will have to pay for each copy: www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/family_parent/family/birth_certificates.htm#fees_for_copies_of_birth_certificates.
