I wish life was that easy but there is a demand for gas people have to have it i do not see the price of gas going down anytime soon if any thing it going up. I wish it was still 99 cents a gallon but i think those days are over. I wish it could be lowered but i don't think so.

If you compare gas to some other items we're actually getting a deal.  Look what we pay for bottled water. If we added the cost of inflation back to the 70's I'd bet we're still ahead of the game.  I also believe we are far better off than the price of gas in other countries.  I don't however believe providers should gain billions in profits where there's supposedly a problem with their costs.  Very contradictive I'd say.  I think the final solution is Hydrogen especially since the waste product is simply water, and the best part is if something goes wrong with your car "you'll never know" :-)

You need to consider the energy implications of hydrogen production. Yes, it 'burns' cleanly, but is very expensive to produce and store.

Excellent comment. I wish everyone were in tune with the advantages of using a hydrogen fuel cell - I have one on my car and boosted my mileage so I get 80 more miles from each gas tank. Checkout hhoWater4Gas.com it's cheap to install and costs next to nothing to run as it uses the hydrogen in water to run your car. It's fun to show off to my friends too.

Well said. People need to exercise more anyway; obesity is slowly becoming a global disease.

The market is the best arbiter for pricing. As long as people buy, the price is not too high. When people stop buying, the prices will drop.

People in the U.S. Waste gasoline (i know I do).  It should be $5 per gallon.  We use all the refineries can make.  The dollar is being devalued because the fedeeral reserve is pumping them out like crazy to keep the economy from slowing.  Since there are so many,  the dollar is woth less and that makes a barrel of oil cost more dollars.  The refineries haven't started using $130/barrel oil yet, when they do, $3.699 per gallon gas will look like the good ol' days.

Your own gas costs can be dramatically reduced. I get over 80 more mile on a full gas tank as I installed a hydrogen on demand system. It was cheap and it works. It was recently announced on National Radio Coast to Coast am. Check it out at hhoWater4Gas.com . That's exactly what I did.

I think gas should be lower.  Because we spend all of our money on gas.
