    In order to increase the liquidity of the banking systems, state bank of Pakistan has given two benefits to the banks. Firstly, money is injected into the banking system and secondly, state bank of Pakistan has instructed the banks to keep CRR up to 5 percent. This means that daily minimum requirement of CRR is about four percent of total demand liabilities. Moreover, CRR on the time liabilities with tenure of one year or more has exempted.
