During the diffusion process, the particles move from one concentration level to the other because of the concentration gradient. The movement of the particles takes place because one area has high concentration of that substance as compare to the other area. For example, if a car Tyre punctures then air diffused out of the Tyre because of the diffusion process. Moreover, diffusion is an example of passive movement of particles.
