 My Hamster Is About 2 Years Old. He Has Crust Around His Eyes, He Has Two Bald Spots On His Bottom (belly Side) And He Is Walking Real Slow. I'm Worried. What Should I Do?? |
| I'm worried that my hamster might die soon. Please tell me about how longer it will live or at least guess. If this will help, he is a yellow hamster. He once sprained both of his feet and got violently tossed onto the carpet on his back by accident. He has a strange habit of climbing up the bars of his cage and either falling off or climbing down. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I think the average age of a hamster is only around two years. It sounds like your little guy is not doing too well. You might want to bring him to a vet that sees pocket pets and see if there is anything he can do for him. As for the crust on his eyes use a wet q-tip and very gently remove the crust. Start at the corner of the eye and gently brush down toward the nose. You might consider changing the type of bedding he currently sleeps in to something that is less dusty.
