In my opinion you should make sure you eat foods containing large amounts of fibre but remember that if you do this then you also need lots of water, otherwise the fibre could clog you up and therefore lead to yet more constipation.  Foods containing good amounts of fibre could be: Oatmeal, oat bran, fruit, psyllium (Metamucil, Konsyl), barley, and legumes.  I don't know if you have this cereal where you live but I would recommend All Bran, but drink lots of water as well!

Constipation is usually due to lack of fiber in the food. If you don't want to take laxatives for treatment then eat food rich in fiber, drink lot of water. Drinking of two glasses of water early in the morning after waking up can help you a lot. Morning walk can also help you.

Don't eat any food just increase your liquid intake. I know this as I had to have all but 5 inches of my colon left and I go through this all the time.Good luck
