Greenhouse gases are in actuality long wave radiations from the sun to the ground and short wave radiations from the ground to the sun. The greenhouse comprises of a diverse range of gases. Some of these numerous gases are found to be noble gases. The major greenhouse gases are water vapors which are present in the atmosphere and environment around us in saturated form. Carbon dioxide is one of the major green house gases. It is emitted from the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas. Methane is also another gas. It is used as a biochemical fuel. Ozone is another gas worth mentioning!

Other gases which are found to be existent in the green house are nitrous oxide, sulfur hexafluoride, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons and chlorofluorocarbons. Greenhouse gases are emitted and they take birth from rice paddy fields, burning of liquid and solid fuels, internal combustion engines in cars, excessive use of aerosol sprays, air conditioners and refrigerators. Most of the gases exist in diatomic state. Extreme extensive use of chlorofluorocarbons and hydrofluorocarbons also contribute to the note-worthy rise in the constituents and amounts for the green house gases.
