Why Are There So Many Books, Chapters And Verses In The Bible?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The reason why there are so many books, chapters and verses in the Bible is because Christianity was spread worldwide and there were many strict practitioners of the religion and many thought to write about the past, present and the future events of the religion. There were many priests and other noble men who thought it was their duty to tell the future of the mankind about their origins of the religion and all their events that took place. There are two main sections of the Bible namely the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament has 39 books which have over 900 chapters. On the other hand, the New Testament has 27 books which have over 250 chapters.

It is very important for a Christian or a Catholic to read the bible as he will be aware of wrong doings and will lead a knowledgeable life.
