Hope you left it alone for quite a while as no doubt the mother bird was close at hand.  They will often go to the ground before they learn to fly.  It will eat insects chopped up worm.

I would hope that unless the baby was in imminent danger, you left the baby alone. Mothers are usually near, unless something happened to the mother, you should wait a while, maybe look for the nest and see if perhaps you can put the baby back in the nest.
If this doesn't happen in a few hours, look for an avian vet that might be able to help you out, telling you what to do, or not to do. They are best trained to help you out with this situation. Hope this helps you out, good luck to you and the baby.
