What Is The Main Reason Of Energy Crises In Pakistan?

The main reason for the current energy crisis in Pakistan is that in the past no efforts had been made to ensure that the power generation capacity is increased in tandem with the economic growth that the company had witnessed in the past couple of years. There plans of building Kalabagh Dam which had to be shelved indefinitely due to the situation being over politicized. The leaders are corrupt and inept further aggravate the problem with their apathy. Besides that, there is a mismanagement on all levels of bureaucratic systems, most electricity now being produced in Pakistan comes from thermal power plants which require natural gas or furnace oil for production. The power generation plants respective administration has not cleared it's dues with the gas and oil companies which as a result stop the supply. So that makes the problem even more worse for the citizens.
