Magic is also known as sorcery and it shows the human ability to control or predict the natural world. In magic human ability may come from mystical, paranormal or supernatural means. It is a conceptual system and in many cultures it competes against the concepts of science and religions. In the Muslim Middle East and Christian West, the magical practices are forbidden by orthodox leadership. The people who know magic claim to control or predict things which are not controlled or predicted by the non-magical persons.
