Are The Acute Angles Of A Right Triangle Complementary? Explain

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The interior angles of a triangle equal 180o.  The right angle of the right angle triangle is 90o.  If you subract the 90o from the 180o  you are left with 90o for the remaining two angles.  By definition, these angles then are complementary, as complementary angles are two angles whose values add up to 90o.
