Which Player Holds The Record For The Most Career League Goals?

    The player that holds the record for the most league goals scored in his career whilst playing in either the English football league, or the Scottish football league is Arthur Rowley.  

    In a career spanning three decades, from nineteen forty seven until nineteen sixty five, Rowley scored four hundred and thirty four league goals for four  different clubs.  

    Arthur Rowley began his career at West Bromwich Albion where he only managed to score four league goals before moving on to West London side Fulham.  Whilst at the the Craven Cottage outfit, Rowley scored twenty seven league goals.  

    Midlands club Leicester City became his third club where he had his most prolific spell, scoring two hundred and fifty one league goals for the Foxes.  

    His fourth and final club were Shrewsbury Town, were Arthur Rowley managed to score one hundred and fifty two league goals before retiring in nineteen sixty five.
