There are some simple and effective methods that you can follow to improve your skills while speaking. The first and foremost is that you should speak slowly. When you speak slowly you will be able to find the faults you are committing while speaking and when you figure out the faults, you will certainly try to work on them so that they should sound better.
    
Another step that you can take is that when you are reading something, and you don't know the exact pronunciation of the word, then you should contact the dictionary at that very moment and at least should utter the word twice.
