Tampa in Florida is approximately 77 miles from Orlando in Florida as the crow flies. The travelling distance by road is approximately 84 miles by road and takes one and a half hour to drive from one to the other. Both cities are located in the south centre of the south eastern state of Florida. Orlando is located to the north east of Tampa.
Orlando is well known for a number of theme parks that form part of the Walt Disney World Resort including Magic Kingdom, Disney MGM-studio, Animal Kingdom, and Downtown Disney to name a few. The other major parks include Sea World Orlando and Universal Orlando Resort. These resorts are the primary reason why nearly 52 million visitors visit Orlando each year. Tampa on the other hand is known for the sporting events that take place there. It is the third biggest city in the entire state of Florida.
