Should I Get A Job Whilst I'm Still A Child?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

A thirteen year old should probably attend to their school work or concentrate on enjoying being a kid still.

The thing is, you are going to work for so much of your life, eight to twelve hours per day, five to seven days per week for about fifty years, why would you need to start into that early?

If you are desperate to join the rat race, why not work in a hair dressers or a barbers, assisting them on Saturdays or after school?

You could get a paper round/route/ although the pay isn't great, but it is a popular choice for young earners.

If you can't think of anything else, there's cafe work, there's occasionally work in a joiner or carpenter's shop doing additional little bits of work.

Again, I implore you, don't work until you have to, life is long and you will work enough.
